Frequently asked questions
How do I merge several PDFs?
Open the Merge tab, choose your files and drag the pages into order. Then download one PDF.
How do I keep only some pages?
Select a page and choose Delete, or type the pages to keep, like 1,3-5.
Can I fill in and sign a form?
Yes. Complete the fields and draw your signature on the page. A drawn signature is not a certified digital signature.
Will compressing always make my file smaller?
Usually, yes. A file that is already optimized may stay about the same size.
How does Ask your PDF work?
Open a PDF, choose Ask and write your question or ask for a summary. Each answer shows the pages it comes from: click one to see that page. Free accounts get 3 answers a day.
Is hiding content really safe?
Yes. When you download, each page with a black box becomes an image, so the hidden text is gone from the file. That page can no longer be searched or copied.
Can I work with a scanned PDF?
Yes. In Convert, choose Recognize text: the pages look the same but their text can now be searched, copied and asked about.
Why won't my PDF open?
If it's protected, we ask for its password. Damaged files can't be opened: save a new copy from the app that created it.
How do I delete my saved files?
Go to your documents and choose Delete next to each file.
